Job Context
One of the progressive Regional Foreign Banks in the country is looking for an experienced Compliance Resource as Assistant Manager to assist Deputy Head of Compliance & DCAMLCO in establishment and maintenance of a robust & effective compliance framework in the bank. Therefore, applications from suitable candidates with proven track record & relevant experience in regulatory compliance related job roles at banks are invited. The intended position will be expected to execute and maintain bank`s compliance standard on its internal policy & procedures as well as to provide assurance that all relevant external and regulatory directives are reasonably adhered to; thus, meeting stakeholders expectation for adoption of the highest standards of compliance and governance at bank, in line with the best practices of any well-regulated leading banking institution.
Job Description / Responsibility
- Respond to AML/KYC questionnaires received from Correspondent Banks/Exchange Companies & provide feedback on AML Queries in coordination with FID - Bangladesh
- Ensure timely responses are provided on AML queries received from Central Bank / BFIU
- Arrange to submit the Suspicious Report (STR) / Suspicious Activities report to BFIU
- Prepare half yearly reports and recommendation for consumption / opinion of Senior Management and subsequent share with MANCOM Members
- Peruse Branch transaction monitoring and raise query to BAMLCO for further examination if requires
- Ensure quarterly meetings are conducted by BAMLCO at Branch level and arrange to raise/escalate the major issues of the Branches to CAMLCO
- Collect data on Legacy/High Risk Accounts
- Coordinate FATCA Reportable accounts. Disseminate the instructions/directives to branches in regard to AML & CFT issues
- Escalation pending AML issues to Business for remedial action /feedback
- Follow all relevant divisional/departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Draft any new guidance/guidelines related to AML/FATCA
- Perform additional duties in line with the current role, as and when requested by the Supervisor.

Job Requirements
- Detailed knowledge on regulatory directives and regulations, KYC, AML guidelines, sanctions and general banking policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of best practices in AML compliance, governance frameworks, methodologies & emerging compliance practices for monitoring and risk assessments.
- Experience of communicating with regulators and assisting with regulatory enquiries and inspections.
- Highly developed communication and influencing skills with ability to build relationships across the organization at all levels.
- Pragmatic thinker and capable of quickly interpreting information for presenting arguments in a clear and reasoned way.
- Highly committed, politically astute, self-confident demeanor and matured social skills.
